my favourite films/seasons!!
WHERE'S MY MUMMY?
certified banger, 10/10. looking past the tomb raiding, there's literally everything you could want - a hot blonde evil lady, a guy filming an mtv cribs kinds show inside the tomb, a village that worships scooby doo, a cool guy with an eagle, a giant robot scorpion - i love this one so much!!
MUSIC OF THE VAMPIRE
my modern day go-to movie. musicals are kinda hit or miss for me but every song genuinely goes to hard hard - another musical is camp scare, and the opening song is genuinely such a banger. also velma canonically loves twilight in this film, so there's that too haha - also i had the fattest crush on the bad guy singer vampire as a kid
THE WITCH'S GHOST
a rare scooby doo movie which includes real magic!! the hex girls show up a lot in this one, which is great - it turns out they're real witches and have to recite spells from an old grimoire to stop the witch's ghost (with the help of the scooby gang of course), and that was the dream for me. still kinda is
WHAT'S NEW SCOOBY-DOO?
my favourite iteration of the show solely because i was a kid when it came out. the theme tune bangs (simple plan went hard ngl) and it was the first version of the show i ever watched <3
merch!!
i collected the dvds as a kid, and now i have a lot haha. the one annoying thing about streaming services is now we don't get the menu screens from dvds, and i miss them so much. the games and secret features were so cool, especially the leaflets that came with the box
a little scooby plush my mum bought for me ages ago! i can't find a date on his tag, but it has the url for the old website which is so cute, because i was obsessed with the flash games on there as a kid
and a bag! i used to take this everywhere when i was little, and it was huge on me :) i can't find anyone else selling this one online (or any other photos of this one at ALL) so i wonder where it came from? it might be fake, but idk. i loved this bag so much <3
i don't have the physical copies of these anymore, but i used to have the cd rom games (remember those?) for the MASSIVE computer upstairs in our loft. i don't think i ever managed to complete either of them since i was 5 or 6 when i had them, but i remember spending hours playing them
and finally i had these two annuals! i don't have them anymore, but i just bought them both again haha - i can't wait for them to come! the 2010 one had factfiles on all of the members of the gang and i used to memorise it religiously
facts!!
to be updated! i'm waiting for my annuals to arrive, and one of them has a fact file page for every member of the gang and i want to add the info here :)
graphics!!
the hex girls!!
a goth rock band featuring in many scooby doo movies and films, the hex girls had a chokehold on me as a child. they're cool and loud, and their names thorn, dusk and luna could easily be names of an emo wolf oc, so i was obsessed.
these songs still go so hard, hex girls reign supreme xoxo
matthew lillard appreciation!!
i genuinely believe matthew lillard was born to play shaggy rogers. in both voice and body, he just is shaggy. he was amazing in the live action movies, and after the previous voice actor casey kasem retired in 2009 he took on the role. he voiced shaggy in every straight to dvd movie from 2010 onwards, but CRIMINALLY he was not cast as shaggy in the 2020 film scoob! - don't get me started on that film oh my god >:(
he's such a good actor, he was amazing as the villain in both scream and the fnaf movie, but he's incredible as the comic relief (she's all that was a pretty mid film but matthew's dance scene was iconic)
he just seems like a genuine guy, and i love him very much <3
